A.) Muddy Water's song, mannish boy really gets me going. it makes me think of my future and how good it can be because I'll be a man. Nothing will get in my way of what I want to do in life because I can do anything. This song speaks to me in my present day, in 1944 as a young lad. It also speak to other African Americans who aren't even treated as men because of the color of their skin. This song brought direct thoughts to the civil war and how the white men acted as if they were stronger and tougher than the black soldiers. This may have been true in some instances but definitely not in most.  Muddy Waters beats will keep me coming back for more, every time.

B.) Strike up the band by George Gershwin really gets the hips moving. The up beat tempo could keep me n' my gal going all night. I'm loving this new music. I've been so sick of the slow, boring blues music. I want to have a good time when I go out, not fall asleep! Everything is going great for us right now, making money, supporting the kids, able to get out of the house every night to eat. Life's going great right now, and this music by George Gershwin is just a good reminder of that, baby!

C.) Brother can you spare a dime by Yip Harburg unfortunately, now resembles and depicts my life. My family's going through a hard time, and I can't find a job anywhere. I'm getting close to leaving. I just can't take the guilt and stress anymore. Just listening to this song right now on the radio makes me want to leave that much more. My kids barely have clothes to wear and my wife has none of her jewelry or make up. I still love them from the bottom of my heart but its just really hard right now.

D.) Coming in on a wing and a prayer by Vera Lynn makes me really appreciate the men fighting over in the war. I have extreme patriotism in what were doing over there. I mean, for crying out loud we were attacked on our own soil. We need to put them in there place! I think this songs gives a great thanks to the courageousness and hardship our fight jet pilots go through. After all, we are fighting in the air a lot against a technologically advanced opponent. This is speaking out to everyone back home that what were doing over there, is a good thing.
